Not long ago, I have posted articles about the flood disaster, but now happened the earthquake， first took place at Samoa, then followed by Indonesia.
According to news reported, The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre (PTWC) said the 8.3-magnitude quake struck at a depth of 33km (20 miles), some 190km (120 miles) from Apia, generating 15ft (4.5m) waves in some areas of the islands. And small tsunamis reached areas as far away as New Zealand, Hawaii and Japan. And killing of at least 140 people. Separately a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck a different fault line off the Indonesian island of Sumatra, killing hundreds of people. And was followed a day later by another 6.8 magnitude quake in the same region.
At Indonesia, the 7.6-magnitude quake, some 85km (55 miles) under the sea, struck close to the city of Padang, the capital of West Sumatra province, and at least 1,100 people have died, followed by a second quake of 6.8.
Tremors were felt in certain areas of Malaysia & Singapore. In George Town, people rushed out of several high-rise buildings in Macallum Street, Tanjung Bungah, Tanjung Tokong, Gurney Drive and the inner city of George Town. While in Johor Baru, many people rushed out of buildings and the new Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex halted operations abruptly and was evacuated for about 40mins.Mean while, in Singapore, residents from Toa Payoh, Woodlands, Bukit Timah, Simei and Kembangan in the eastern part, reported tremors shaking their buildings, according to The Straits Times.
Well, sad to know more and more disasters are happening nowadays. :(

Ways Checking Streamyx broadband line bandwidth
I always used to check on streamyx broadband line bandwidth, especially when taking long time for a standard web page to be shown, for both upload & download speed.
There are few ways to do it. Just click or copy below link to your browser, it will bring up the service.
1. Streamyx official speedometer -: Click start test to find out how fast is your connections.
2.P1 Wimax : Click on the speedometer, and then begin the test.
3.Speedtest.net : Select the recommended server to begin the test. For this speedometer, there are more options to choose from as the test server. And more details result will be returned, included time needed to upload a mp3, a video clip or a movie etc.
Always good to check on the bandwidth, from time to time, as a consumer point of view.

Work development purpose servers..
A friend of mine told me that she was so happy because she finally get her web server up running, and own herself a more convenience environment to do her development jobs. Hurray for her!
On top of that she also managed to setup the another server for email usage. Again, another horray!

Removing invalid entry from "Add and remove program" of window.
I'm still in the midst of cleaning up my laptop after the virus attacked. And happened to find out there are some invalid entries in my "add and remove program". Invalid in the sense that, the programs were uninstall, but still being captured in "add and remove program" under the Control Panel.
So, in order to remove these entries, do manually according to below steps. But always back up a copy in case something goes wrong.
* Click Start -> Run and type regedit.exe
* Scroll until you find the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall
Note: Here you will see many sub entries, ad each sub entries/subkey represents a program that you've installed. To find out which program that each key represents, click the key, and look at the value of "DisplayName" in the right panel
* Select the right subkey & right-click on the subkey, choose Delete
* Repeat the process until you have finish
* Close Registry Editor
If still there are some programs unable to clean, there are some tools can help to do so, just googling with keywords like "windows installer clean up" or so..

Vulnerability, another form of virus threats
Facing these vulnerability threats while scanning for both win32.tenga.a and win32.tenga.b
Again, look for these info thru web. According to certain articles & discussed forums, the vulnerabilities that was detected are programs we have installed that need to be updated. Those programs can be a security risk if they are not updated. However, some said to turn off this scan functions, some choose not to upgrade. Whatever it is, up to us to decide.
I got a few for some of the program, for firefox, I got vulnerability 36671, which solution provided is to upgrade to version 3.0.14 or 3.5.3. Ms office too..all of these can get from this useful website: secunia

System Volume Information
This is a hidden folder under the OS. As previous blog mentioned, I had a virus disaster, that so difficult to clean it. I scan and re-scan and scan...still there are some viruses exist somewhere in my hard disk. This drive me to look really carefully on my scanned report.
Finally, my attention was being captured by full list of .exe files under this system volume information folder. In the virus scanned report stated that, those files inside this folder was still affected by win32.tenga.a & win32.b
So, no choice that to delete these files, after all, I don't really know why they were in this folder. However, did little searching on the web, and found the related useful info on this web page. Have a look for further understanding if in need. http://bertk.mvps.org/html/tips.html#15

Terrible bad virus--win32.tenga.a & win32.tenga.b
I had a very bad virus attacked on my laptop from wins32.tenga.a & wns32.tenga.b, as recognized by Kaspersky Lab.
They just kept replicated themselves thru file name extension ended .Exe.
At the beginning, what I have noticed was, there was a program name dl.exe, suddenly pop-up saying the NTVDM cpu has encountered an illegal instruction somewhere, with a standard Dos black screen. When I saw this message, nothing much I can do, and just force self to close it, and do little searching on the web, for knowing why behaved so.
At the same time, my laptop was getting slower and slower, and many of the programs were not able to run. Quickly, I get my virus software working for me, but anyhow was too late, as mostly of my .exe files were got effected.
Therefore, no choice left for me except to re-format my computer and ghost back the previous copy. With this, I thought will able to “kill” all those viruses, once I run my virus software again at the very beginning. But, too bad to say those viruses got replicated on my 2nd hard disk, which meant to be a file storage.
In other word, even formatting also unable to get back my stable system, and now I have to also remove or delete off those affected .exe files too, in my 2nd hard disk. This is really killing me and my laptop as well.. Disaster man….

二十多页的一封信
人生活到今时今日， 没想过会写一封长达二十页的信。而且，有邮寄出去的一封信。这封信比我写大学论文的proposal还要长哦!大学论文的proposal才十来页。
这封信是写给我的一位朋友。一位，一直都以书信来往的朋友。一位，曾经失去联络的人。信里谈的都是近年来的生活感想，那一段失去联络的空白。写着信的同时，自己曾想到那收信人的心情会是如何？。。那么长的一封信？那么多页。会读累吗？烦不烦？。。虽然心里如此想， 但信件还是寄出去了。
写完信件的时后，也寄上一本自己做的小记事簿。记事簿里，填满着自己对那友情的一些记忆与怀念。和，纪念那将满二十年的感情。
信和友谊记事簿是寄出去了，但， 却没敢去了解收信人的看法。因为，自己真很少动手去做东西，想到要做，就得真要很用心去做；而且，对自己要求过高，总觉得做出来的东西，都不完美。但，自己竟然还是为这友谊做了。
现在回想这事， 因为我又想念起我这友人。。。不知这友人可好？

朋友。。的辛酸
这些年，一个人， 风也过， 雨也走。。。
听着周华健唱着这首歌时， 勾起了我小时交友的情形。虽然这首歌名为“朋友”， 但我只记得以上的那一行。记忆中，在上学的日子里，我并没有所谓的好朋友。同班的朋友是有的。
小学以后，我的记忆里，朋友们都是吵来吵去， 骂来骂去。今天说你这样，明天说你那样。 今天和你好， 明天。。明天再说吧！真不懂他们累不累呢？我是好累啊！因为当时，衣食住行里的食，是我每天都烦恼的事情。在那种日子里，吃都吃不饱的时候，他们的心情却是吵来吵去，有的没有的， 真是侈奢。
到了中学，朋友间的感情是升华了。对， 他们和他们间的感情是升华了。我依然好像是中间人的角色，穿梭在他们之间。不是很方便的，却也是无更好的选择。
然后，时间是如此的过了去。

台湾八八事件/Flood disaster, Taiwan
This was the scene that alerted me about the flood disaster happened in
Ya, I could only “arrr….oh god” at that moment, frightening and sad. How many people died in this disaster, lost....sick......I don't wish do know...really....too sad to be known...but I choose to pray for them。。。
Other than Taiwan, places like Burkina Faso, Istanbul too having flood disaster.
Well, the earth is seem to signaling that she is sicks! And hoping that we have find ways to cure her...
